Meals for Workers: Participating in the gift card program allows community members to contribute to food purchases for healthcare workers. Contact participating restaurants directly to donate.

Heywood or Athol Strong Apparel: Shirts, hats, sweatshirts are available at  Show community spirit! All proceeds from the sale of our Strong apparel support our Caring For Colleagues fund. This is an internal fund to support employees in time of need.

Protect Home Health Workers, Unsung Heroes in Community Care

In addition to our doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals, who are rightfully and deservingly being lauded as heroes during the COVID-19 pandemic, there’s another set of less likely saviors facing the coronavirus frontlines every day. That’s our Homecare/Hospice nurses and therapists, along with Home Health Aides who are helping both those recovering from the Coronavirus and others with serious medical conditions. PPE is necessary for staff to safely cafe for the vulnerable patients they serve. CHNA9 Requests Support – Food and Supplies Needed

Nonprofits are in need of food, toiletries, and personal protective supplies to meet the rapidly increasing demand during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Needed are:

  • food, fiber, and soap products 
  • gloves, masks, hand sanitizer, and other personal protective equipment
  • food packaging materials

MWCC COVID-19 Student Emergency Fund Uses

This fund is designed to be flexible enough to accommodate the varied needs of MWCC students during this ever-evolving crisis. These needs include, but are not limited to:

  • Technology (laptop, Chromebook, internet access, etc.) for remote learning
  • Rent or living expenses due to job loss or reduced hours
  • Food insecurity
  • Medical Bills

Each student in the diverse population has a unique set of needs during this time of crisis. The MWCC COVID-19 Student Emergency Fund will have the ability to quickly address a variety of students’ needs—from food and housing insecurity to medical bills and technology. Open Sky Community Services Urgent Requests – COVID-19 Campaign

Open Sky’s direct care staff are frontline workers in the efforts to safeguard the health of the people they serve – some of the state’s most vulnerable citizens –during the COVID-19 pandemic. To do their jobs safely, they need YOUR help. To meet the physical and emotional needs of the people they serve, they need YOUR help.

The financial impact of these needs is staggering, but these are expenses that have to be met. Expenses YOU can help meet. Please consider donating at
  • Emergency purchase of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) and cleaning supplies. 
  • Teleconferencing and telehealth technology needed to ensure that clinicians are there to provide support and counseling for individuals overwhelmed by the stress and anxiety brought on by the current crisis.
  • Food and Household Supply Kits for the hundreds of the isolated individuals with mental illness, homeless families and LGBTQIA+ youth served by Open Sky Community Services.
